Permanent Makeup Services

What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup is the art and science of implanting organic and inorganic ink into the dermal and epidermal layer of skin – more commonly known as tattooing.
How soon does it heal?
Immediately after the procedure is completed the overall color will appear darker than the final result approximately one week later when the skin begins to heal and the colors change to natural and soft shades as the outer epidermal layer of skin renews itself.
How long does the procedure take?
Permanent makeup procedures at Kirkland Skin Care can take 1 hour to 1 hour & 30 minutes per procedure type. Please be on time for your permanent cosmetic appointment as a specific amount of time is necessary.
How long does it last?
Permanent makeup is long lasting. After your initial touch-up, you may need a maintenance touch-up in one to three years. Exposure to sun, water, and cleansers will cause your makeup to fade over time. Just be sure to maintain your beautiful makeup with refresher touch-ups.
Does it hurt?
New topical anesthetics have been developed especially for these procedures. Everyone has different tolerance to pain, but pain is kept to a minimum. Because permanent makeup procedures require the use of topical anesthetics, avoiding caffeine before your appointment can help with your comfort level.

Body Piercing Services

What certifications do you have for body piercing procedures?
Shauna is state licensed in body piercing and tattooing. She has been serving customers from the greater Seattle-Bellevue metropolitan area since 1995.
What hygienic measures are taken for maximum safety?
Kirkland Skin Care is a clean and sterile environment. All piercing and tattooing supplies are autoclaved for sterilization. All needles are used only one time and disposed. Spore testing is performed on the autoclave by an outside company to ensure all tools are completely sterile.
How long does it take for a piercing procedure?
Body piercing is performed by appointment only and can take between 15 and 20 minutes for each piercing procedure.
How old do I have to be to get a piercing?
You must be 18 years old for a piercing procedure. If you are under the age of 18 years old, please be accompanied by an adult and call for a consultation.
What is included in the pricing of piercing procedures?
All pricing includes jewelry. Kirkland Skin Care proudly sells H2Ocean spray for piercing aftercare.
